This is a continuing series of EP releases by TortoiseClimbing Audio™.
It began with David singing in choirs from early elementary school on. On that foundation, some nearer term events contributed to creation of this series of Nostalgic Love Song EPs. They include:
Around 1990, his friend Terry asked him to record duets with him. Turns out most were nostalgic love songs, or related.
That led to David to undertake recording and privately releasing the album Solo Collection, in early 1993. (As part of that private release, he created TortoiseClimbing™.) That 1993 private release was mostly nostalgic love songs.
Another critical occurance both enabled, and strongly influenced the initial songs recorded, as well as many of the songs on the Solo Collection album. That was being introduced to the fantastic piano accompanist, Ms. Nancy Reid. (Previously she was accompanist to the pops chorus, Alexandria Singers, which both Terry and David sang with for several seasons. For details about Ms. Nancy Reid see Nancy Reid.)
The private album Solo Collection was followed by recording what was intended as a follow on private album (working title of Romantic Duets, not released). (That unreleased album is mostly nostalgic movie and broadway love duets from the 1980's and early 1990's.) Work on the Romantic Duets album was put on hold when David's mother asked him to record Hymns and Songs of My Mother (released summer 2024). (While the hymns album is not romantic love songs, they are nostalgic, old traditional hymns.)
As part of the Phase II work to complete Hymns and Songs of My Mother, we decided to convert TortoiseClimbing™ to a for-profit entity. That meant we needed to develop our Business Plan, laying out TortoiseClimbing™'s vision. An important component of Business Plans is articulating products you are going to market.
The process of articulating our vision for future products led us to realize, from the beginning, we focused on Nostalgic Love Songs.
So, after completing the hymns album, we returned to working with nostalgic love songs. Initially we are converting/upgrading earlier recordings into the quality demanded by our current mission, established as part of producing the Hymns and Songs of My Mother. That includes songs recorded before we began working on the 1993 Solo Collection, plus those on that collections.
As work progresses, we plan to expand to upgrading the rest of our back catalogue of nostalgic love song recordings for public release.
Adsditionally, we plan to make new recordings of Nostalgic Love Songs for additional publicly released EPs.
FYI - Research has identified plenty of nostalgic love songs for continuing this series. Plus, we also plan to embrace nostalgic Christmas songs.

Overview of EP Series
Target for release of 1st EP in the Nostalgic Love Songs series is Summer of 2026. Initial EPs are songs developed by drawing from materials on our back master tapes. They are digitally post production processed, accompaniments (and some vocals) augmented and/or replaced, remixed and remastered.
As of April 2026 we are well along on various projects upgrading and augmenting previous recordings for public release. We will also be making new recordings of other nostalgic songs.

Other Songs Planned for Upgrade to become part of an EP
Romantic Duets - We previously recorded some love duets from movies and Broadway, from the 80's and 90's. We plan to replace their karaoke accompaniments, some vocals, and upgrade them. They will be released as part of additional EPs in the Nostalgic Love Songs series.
